I love where I live

Sweet ol' Lake Michigan

The past two Monday nights a group of friends, mostly the Sawyer gang, has been gathering at the beach for a fun night of volley ball, cooking out and swimming. It's been great getting to hang out in such a large group - there has been about 25 of us. I've gotten to meet new people and catch up with people I already know. I always have to get there late since I'm taking an evening class, which kind of sucks, but it's really not that bad - at least I get to show up for part of it :) I love the beach. I love my friends. I love my family. I love my home. I'm not loving the idea of heading back to the cornfield.

The beach is great and the water has warmed up fabulously. You should come visit :)

Speaking of loving my family...Abby's coming for the weekend!!! Pretty much the whole extended family [Including folks from PA, TX, and IA] is going to be here. I'm so excited to see my little cousins N and L.

Plans for this weekend with the family:
Water-balloon volleyball
Beach
Grilling out
Beach glass hunting
Playing a sweet game called Celebrity
Cards
Anything else that is sweet and fun-loving

[Here's something I found interesting that popped up on a friend's facebook page today. New Buffalo is a very short drive down along the lake shore from where I live...maybe I should take up winter surfing:) ]

the one without pictures

Very rarely do a post an entry without any pictures. But I do, occasionally, and today happens to be that day. I'm being boring kickin' it old school and leaving you with nothing but a list and a little update on my current life.

First, a list [of things to today]:
*Dr. appointment 9:30am
*Call MINI dealer about power steering issues I've been having
*Work 12-5p
*Beach/sunset??

And now onto more interesting things...
Big News!! Guess what!!! I have strep...again. Yes folks, that's right, you may remember from my last post that my sore throat was coming back. Well tonight, after getting off work at 6, I went directly to the walk-in-clinic where I waited over 2 hours to have a 5 minute test done to confirm my assumption that I do indeed have strep...again.

Hm, I guess that's all the big news I have for now, unless of course you count my rearranging my room and switching the scent of my wallflowers from vanilla coconut to enchanted orchid!
